Rare earth materials are a broad category. Rare earth metals and finished NdFeB magnets are different purchasing requirements. NdFeB is a rare earth permanent magnet material; specify the product form and application when making an inquiry.
Rare earth metals include metallic neodymium. NdFeB magnets are based on neodymium, iron and boron, and are not the same product as an individual rare earth metal.
Permanent magnet materials serve applications requiring permanent magnets. A motor magnet inquiry should also define rectangular or arc geometry, dimensions, tolerances, grade, magnetic properties, coating and magnetization requirements.
